JUDGES CRITERIA

​

 

A1 LIST (When CCs are available)

 

 

Judges who have been passed by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in the breed and whom the Society would support.

 

A2 LIST (When CCs are available)

 

Judges who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with the Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the Club.

 

A3 Breed Specialist

 

Judges the Society would support as being suitable to award CCs in the breed, but have not yet been approved by the KC for inclusion on an A2 list.

 

1.To have a minimum 7 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the Club.

2.To have judged at ONE breed club show OR two Championship shows without CCs when more than three classes are scheduled..

3.To have judged a minimum of 12 classes.

4.To have judged a minimum of 24 Sloughis.

5.To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 Sloughis when they have gained three BOBs each at Championship shows without CCs.

6.To have attended a seminar given by a KC accredited trainer and passed the relevant examination on KC Regulations and Judging Procedures.

7.To have attended a seminar given by a KC accredited trainer on Conformation and Movement.

8.To have attended a Conformation and Movement "Hands –on Assessment" conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment.

9.To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant KC Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

10.To have stewarded on 12 occasions as per KC Criteria.

 

A3 Non Specialists

 

Judges the Society would support as being suitable to award CCs in the breed, but have not yet been approved by the KC for inclusion on an A2 list.(When CCs are available)

 

1.To have a minimum 7 years judging experience in any one breed and to include a minimum of 5 years judging experience in Sloughis and have the support of the Club.

2.To have judged at ONE breed club show OR two Championship shows without CCs where more than three classes are scheduled.

3.To have judged a minimum of 12 Sloughi classes.

4.To have judged a minimum of 24 Sloughis.

5.To have awarded CCs in at least one other sighthound breed.

6.To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with the relevant KC Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

7.To have bred and/or owned a minimum of three dogs of any breed when they obtained their first entry in the KC Stud book.(Save in exceptional circumstances)

 

B List

Breed Specialists

 

1.To have a minimum of 5 years owning and exhibiting Sloughis and have the support of the Club.

2.To have judged a minimum of 5 classes of Sloughis at Open & Ch. shows (without CCs).

3.To have judged a minimum of 15 Sloughis.

4.To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar and passed an assessment run by the Breed Club or attended the Hound Group Judges Development Programme seminar on the breed.

 

B List Non Specialists

 

1.To have a minimum of 5 years judging experience in any one breed and have the support of the Club.

2.To have judged a minimum of 5 classes of Sloughis at Open & Ch.shows (without CCs).

3.To have judged 15 Sloughis.

4.To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar and passed an assessment run by the Breed Club or attended the Hound Group judges Development Programme seminar on the breed.

 

C List

 

For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the breed and have the support of the Society.

Those who have judged the breed at Limited shows and Open shows but do not yet qualify for the B List.
